What happens if I scan a wrong badge? Can I fix it?

Unfortunately you can’t remove the badge association when you scanned a badge, so pay close attention when you’re doing it. Remember you can fill all the profile information by simply scanning your badge from the app – so you could have someone else’s data on your profile.

I can’t seem to recieve push notifications! What can I do?

If you can’t see any push notification there might be a registration problem. Registration happens at installation time (as soon as you install the app in your device). Try checking the following things:
– Have you allowed the app to send push notifications? On iOs devices you should see a popup as soon as you open the app for the first time. If you missed it, you can find it in the notifications settings of your device. On Android, notifications should be allowed by default but try checking in the settings to see if you accidentally disabled them (maybe you got some app running that automatically disables notifications?)
– (Android only) does your device support Google Play Services? You can check that if you have Google Play Store installed. Due to how Google notification service works, Google Play Services are mandatory in order to recieve notifications.
– Did you correctly set your device’s time and date settings? In order to recieve notifications, your time and date should be synchronized with the servers’. If you installed the app when your time was off, you may need to reinstall it.
– If anything else fails, try and reinstall the app once more. Remember to only install the app from the main stores.

If you can only see the notifications when the app is open, then you may have issues with some battery saving settings. Some devices don’t allow apps to keep on running when they are not in the foreground, and that means we can only reach your device when it is up and running. App and battery settings are different from device to device, but they are usually on the “battery” on “power setting” of your phone. Try finding “Codemotion Conference” and allow it to always keep running.
